'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial important trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
