Christantus Uche Fuels Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight passage to the last 16, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne team that had finished their league season were no match even for a largely rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

The home side were hanging on for dear life. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for a couple of agricultural tackles on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the woodwork with a header from a corner.

The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
